Job Description

• Primary responsibility will be to perform experiments using cell biology and molecular biology approaches including gene and protein expression studies.
• Provide technical expertise in the area of genomics, proteomics, molecular biology, cell biology, and biomarker discovery. Experimental design will include use of tools such as gene expression studies including RTQ PCR, microarray, microarray data analysis, Immunohistochemistry, and biomarker assay development.
• Data compilation, analysis and data interpretation, literature study and present and discuss data in institutional meetings.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, managerial, and written communication skills.
• Must be able to prioritize and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
• Provides management, scientific leadership and creativity managing research projects.
• Record and maintain lab notebooks with detail and clarity.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe working area in the lab.
• Record and maintain research samples, standards, samples from contract manufacturers, laboratory freezers and refrigerators.
• Write protocols and reports as necessary to document the results.

Desired Profile

Education : PhD in Molecular Biology/cell biology/Genetics/Biotechnology or related field with three to five years of post doctoral research experience from academia with strong publication records. Working experience from a pharmaceutical industry is desirable.

Experience : 3 year – 5 years

Should have hands-on experiences in the following areas

· Good knowledge in PCR Techniques, and RTQPCR, Biomarker assay development.
· Data Analysis.
