ICAR NPTC – Functional Genomics of Drought Tolerance in Maize

Essential: M.Sc. in Plant Physiology/Plant Biochemistry or M.Sc. (Botany) with specialization in Plant Physiology

Desirable: Research experience in stress physiology.

CSISA Project

SRF (one position)

Rs. 16,000.00

Essential: M.Sc. in Agronomy/ Soil Science/ Microbiology

Desirable: Having working knowledge of Computers and Handling of lab equipment

1) Terms and conditions: The above positions are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis upto March 2012. There is no provision of re-engagement after termination of the project.

The selected candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at this institute as the fellowship is co-terminus with the project.

2) Age limit: 35 years as on the closing date of the application. Age relaxation of 5 years to SC/ST & women candidates and 3 years of OBC candidates will be given as per ICAR rules.

3) The Walk-in-Interview will be held at the Directorate of Maize Research, Pusa Campus, New Delhi on 19th September, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.

4) TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

5) Applications with complete bio-data with one passport size photograph pasted on it, attested copy of certificates for age and qualifications, reprints of publications and no objection certificate from present employer should be submitted to the Project Director, Directorate of Maize Research, Pusa Campus, New Delhi-110 012 or by e-mail to the Principal Investigator (e-mail: isingh.dmr@gmail.com;) on or before 15th September, 2011. However, the candidates have to bring all original documents at the time of interview.
