Akshaya Education and Research Foundation/UniBiosys Biotech Contest for Students | Send A Research Project Proposal, Win Rs 25,000

Akshaya Education and Research Foundation (AERF) is a non-profit organization and was established in 2008. AERF has started with a vision to buildup manpower and methodologies in education and research sector through appropriate and sustainable research and knowledge empowerment.

With an aim to popularize biotechnology research at college level and to ignite the fire of research in minds of students, AERF conducting various awareness and research programmes. Now, as part of our effort to enhance standards of education and training and to nurture students as researchers by articulating their views, AERF is conducting Scientific Research Programme in association with UniBiosys Biotech Research Labs, Cochin.

About contest: This contest is conducted only for college students. Individual or group from colleges/university departments can send a research project proposal in biotechnology and related subjects. The proposed project should be product /process oriented or produces measurable results. Project ideas will be evaluated by an expert panel who decide winners.

Eligibility: B.Sc / M.Sc / B.Tech / M.Tech final year students of Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry and related streams.

Awards: First prize : Cash Award, free funding (up to 25,000), facility and technical support to carry out the academic project for three winners

Second prize : Free participation in selected scientific workshops (10 contestants)

Third prize : Free training in Biotechnology with partial scholarship (10 contestants)

Registration: Registration can be done by mailing an abstract of the project along with resume and recommendation letter of Head of Department to aerfcochin@gmail.com on or before 30 October, 2011.
