Preamble

The reduction of hunger and poverty is a prerequisite for sustainable development. Malnutrition on a global scale is not only a problem of distribution but more and more becoming a problem of production and quantity. In order to ensure the food for a growing population, measures for the increase of food production are needed. The potentials of biotechnology and the minimization of costs and negative side effects is an aim, which will not engage itself. Intelligent politics on national and international level is required, that promotes, accompanies and leads technology development into desired directions. The climate change issue is part of the larger challenge of sustainable development. Therefore the present conference is aimed to provide opportunity to the academicians, researchers, experts and NGOs to interact and share various issues related to sustainable development.

The programme will comprise plenary lecturers by invited speakers and oral/poster presentations. The official language of the conference will be English.
