Two days workshop on Application of Bioinformatics in Medical Sciences

Biomedical Informatics Centre, RMRIMS (ICMR), Patna is organizing a two days workshop (3rd & 4th November 2011) on “Application of Bioinformatics in Medical Sciences”.

The topics to be addressed during the workshop include introduction to QSAR: Quantitative structure-activity relationship, Drug Discovery, Homology Modeling, Gel Documentation followed by lectures. This workshop will be useful for scientists, clinicians and academicians who are involved in basic and clinical research.

Eligibility criteria for applicants include a M. Pharm, MBBS, M.D, M. Tech and M.Sc. (Bioinformatics, Pharmacoinformatics). Interested applicants may send their application letter with a small write up to clearly mention the benefit of attending this workshop along with curriculum vitae.

The last dates for receipt of applications are Oct. 24, 2011.

A maximum of 20 candidates will be selected. The selected candidates will be intimated by email on Oct. 25, 2011. The selected candidates should bring a proof of identity (photo ID) for the workshop. The workshop is being fully supported by Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi. There is no course fee. The selected candidates will, however, have to make their own arrangements for travel; accommodation can be provided to outside participants only.
