Biodiversity/DNA barcoding of marine molluscs | JRF Opening @ RGCB

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a DBT funded research project on "Biodiversity, DNA barcoding and phylogeny of commercially valuable marine molluscs of India" in the Laboratory of Dr. Sanil George.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

First Class in M.Sc. Zoology. Experience in Biodiversity studies with published proof and expertise in animal DNA barcoding. The project involves filed work in marine environments and the candidates prepared to do field work only need to apply.

AGE: Below 30 years

EMOLUMENTS

Junior Research Fellow: Rs.16,000 /- + 20% HRA per month.

Duration: Three years or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier).

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and will be called for interview

Suitably qualified candidates may send applications in the prescribed format (www.rgcb.res.in/downloads/adv.doc) with a copy of full resume and attested photocopies of credentials & experience to reach the undersigned on or before 10th November, 2011. The envelopes must be superscripted with abbreviated title of the project, the advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.

In the event of more than 10 candidates being short listed, a written test will be done before the selection interview.
