Call for Scholarship Applications

The Danish PhD School of Molecular Metabolism has 20 co-financed PhD scholarships available granted by the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

Who can apply

The project supervisor of a potential PhD student may forward an application to the Danish PhD School of Molecular Metabolism applying for  1/3 NNF scholarschip on behalf of the PhD student.

Prerequisites

Funding of 2/3 of the scholarship must be ensured before applying the Danish PhD School of Molecular Metabolism for the last 1/3 funding (1/3 of the funding must derive from the faculty enrolling the candidate and 1/3 must derive from either the Danish State (e.g. the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, the Danish National Board of Health), one of the Danish regions or EU funds).

The PhD project in question has to relate to the research methods of the Danish PhD School of Molecular Metabolism.

Allocation and enrolment

The scholarships will be allocated to one of the four following faculties at which enrolment will take place:

The Faculty of Science, University of Southern Denmark

The Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southern Denmark

The Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen

The Faculty of Health Sciences, Aarhus University

When enrolled at the faculty in question the PhD student will be asked to register as a member of the Danish PhD School of Molecular Metabolism.

Employment will last for three years and take place at the institution where the PhD project will be carried out.

Requirements

Master’s degree in health science (MD or MSc)

Recommendation letter of the PhD candidate (including specification of the last 2/3 funding of the scholarship)

PhD Project description

Curriculum Vitae of the PhD candidate (including a publication list)

Copy of the candidate's masters degree certificate

Shortly after submitting the application form you will receive an e-mail acknowledging receipt of your application.
