NATIONAL SEMINAR ON LIVING SYSTEMS IN POST GENOMIC ERA (NSLSPGE)
December 20-21, 2011
Organized by
Post Graduate Department of Biosciences and Biotechnology,
Fakir Mohan University,
Nuapadhi, Balasore-756020
Objective of the seminar
Living systems are “open self-organizing systems that have the special characteristics of life and interact with their environment. This takes place by means of information and material-energy exchanges. Living systems can be as simple as a single cell or as complex as a supranational organization.
Regardless of their complexity, they each depend upon the same essential subsystems (or processes) in order to survive and to continue the propagation of their species or types beyond a single generation”. Due to the rapid development of different branches science it is now easier to understand the basis of living system as a whole. The role of Life science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetic Engineering, Proteomics and Genomics, etc to explore the living systems is fast growing up. The discovery of life molecule has opened up new path in accumulating the knowledge of living system. In the post-genomic era, enhanced understanding of the cooperation between biological molecules such as proteins, DNA, RNA, and lipids is necessary to explore the complexity of living cells. Bearing these facts in mind this seminar has been envisaged to discuss in depth the complexities of life processes and their interaction on living systems.
The seminar will provide an opportunity to all the participants to interact with the dignitaries from different corners of the globe regarding the refinement of their knowledge. The seminar is open for the scholars, academicians from any branch of biological sciences or allied sciences having interest in biological science.
Call for paper
The seminar comprises of invited lectures by eminent academicians and scientists and oral and poster presentations by the delegates.
