CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow is a premier R&D Institute under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) which is an autonomous body under Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India. The Institute is engaged in the development of new drugs and diagnostics in various therapeutic areas like malaria, tuberculosis, filaria, leishmania, cancer, thrombosis, hypertension, dementia, diabetes, lipid disorders, gastric ulcer, osteoporosis, prostatic hyperplasia, etc. supported by competent team of chemists and biologists. The Institute is involved in carrying out pioneering works on cellular and molecular studies to understand these disease processes, systematic evaluation of the medicinal properties of natural products and synthetic molecules, development of technology for drugs, intermediates and biological. The Institute also has a robust programme in developing human resource for future requirement of the pharmaceutical industry and R&D institutions.
Applications on the prescribed forms are invited from the eligible persons of Indian
Nationality for the following technical posts:-
Technical Assistant: 16 Posts including 05 posts of backlog vacancies (SC- 04, ST-01 OBC- 04, UR- 05 and PWD-02) in Pay Scale/Pay Band of Rs. 9300-34800 (PB-2) with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- (Total emolument at present is Rs 26558/-(approx.).
Post Code 001: (01 post) Biometry and Statistics (Reserved for PWD-Locomotor or Cerebral Palsy)
Essential Qualifications: Ist Class B.Sc. with Statistics or Biostatistics as one of the subjects and one year full time professional qualification in Computer Application from a recognized institution/organization.
Desirable: Candidate should have experience in Biostatistics or exposure to software for analysis of data.
Job Requirement: To enter and analyze the data generated at every stage of drug development including clinical trials by using computer.
Post Code 003: (06 posts) Biological Sciences (03 Unreserved, 02 OBC and 01 PWD Hearing impairment)
Essential Qualification: Ist Class B.Sc. in Life Sciences and one year professional
qualification in LifeSciences/MedicalLabTechnology/Computer Applications/Instrumentation from a recognized Institution/Organization.Desirable: Lab experience in cell culture/handling of microorganisms/handling of
animals.Job Requirement: To work and assist the scientists in various biological assay systems and animal handling in laboratory set up.
Post Code 004: (02 posts) Lab Animals (01 OBC and 01 ST)
Essential Qualification: Ist Class B.Sc. in Life Sciences/Veterinary Sciences and one year professional qualification in Life Sciences/Veterinary Sciences/Medical Lab Technology/Computer Applications from a recognized Institution/Organization.
Desirable: Lab experience in cell culture/handling of microorganisms/handling of
animals.Job Requirement : Management and breeding of laboratory animals as per regulatory norms, conducting routine animal techniques, disease diagnostic procedures, animal health supervision, anesthesia and surgical procedures, assisting scientists in execution of laboratory animal management practices in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices and record keeping.
