Advertisement for the post of JRF and Lab. Attendant in a DBT-funded Research Project
Applications are invited for the post of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) ( 1 No.) and Lab. Attendant (1 No.) to be appointed in a DBT-funded major research project entitled “Molecular characterization in the expression of mRNAs for ornithine-urea cycle enzymes and enzyme proteins, multiple glutamine synthetase genes and signaling cascades under hyper-ammonia stress in the air-breathing walking catfish, Clarias batrachus” sanctioned to Prof. N. Saha, Biochemical Adaptation Lab., Department of Zoology, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong 793022 for a period of three years. Candidates are requested to send their bio-data with details of their educational qualifications etc. in a plain paper with their full address, telephone number and e-mail address to the undersigned within 25 days of the date of advertisement.
Qualification:
For JRF: M.Sc. in Zoology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology with a good knowledge in
the field of Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Animal Physiology. Preference may
be given to NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified candidates.
For Lab. Attendant: Passed the Class X examination and has experience in
working in research labs.
Emoluments:
For JRF/SRF: The emoluments shall be Rs. 16,000/- + 10% HRA for the the 1st
two years and Rs. 18,000/- + 10% HRA per month for the 3rd year for SRF and
applicable, only if the JRF/SRF is NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it
shall be Rs. 12,000/- + 10% HRA for the 1st two years for JRF and Rs. 14,000/- +
10% HRA for the 3rd year per month for SRF.
For Lab. Attendant: Consolidated Rs. 5,000/- per month
