Technical Details

The training program is for five days with fullest concentration on the practical aspects. Students will be taken care to get hands on experience in all sorts of techniques that are covered under this workshop.

The training programs would cover the following aspects

 Luminescent Bacteria
 Fluorescent Pseudomonads
 Marine actinomycetes
 Gene transfer in marine microbes
 Industrial enzymes from marine microbes
 Molecular Biology of Marine microbes
 Bioproducts such as bioplastics, antibiotics

and pigments from Marine Microbes

Eligibility

Final year Undergraduate science (B.Sc.,) students from Life Science disciplines such as Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Zoology, Marine Biology, Aquaculture etc.

Registration details

Maximum number of Participants is limited to 30 only.

There is no registration fee for the participants.

However, selection of candidates for the workshop will be done on the basis of merit.

Interested candidates may send the completely filled in registration forms which is recommended and forwarded through their HOD along with a one page write about how this workshop would be useful for their career and a brief resume. Incomplete forms with out necessary enclosures will not be considered for the selection process.

Organizers have the final rights to accept or reject an application.
