BACKGROUND

Sustainable development is the watchword of the day, which means that care must be taken to preserve existing environmental resources for the benefit of future generations. At the risk of failure, India may also provide a shining model of how to simultaneously advance democracy, economic growth, and environmental health. Environmental Sustainability is likely to become the next great challenge along India’s development path. Yet, keeping up with increasing pressures of rapid growth and public demand for cleaner environment has been difficult. Impressive environmental awakening and good practice initiatives by various players are taking place.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Organisations/ Institutions/ Research scholars/ Students intending to contribute and present their research papers or research work falling with the stated themes are requested to send their abstract (within 250 words, Font Arial, size 12) through
Email: ecs12gct@gmail.com along with the complete address for correspondence and contact number by 7th April 2012. The authors of the selected papers shall be intimated individually through email or by phone on or before 13th April 2012.The selected candidates shall send their full text papers in hard copy as well as soft copy with the prescribed delegate fee to Dr.S.Jayanthi, Dept of Civil Engg, Convenor, ECS-12, GCT, Coimbatore-13 by demand draft from any nationalized bank drawn in favour of ECS 2011. Full text with the above stated specifications in A4 size papers (5 pages max) should reach us latest by 18th April 2012.
