National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) established in 1958 with its headquarters at Nagpur and at present having five Zonal Laboratories across the country, is one of the constituent units of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), a premier multidisciplinary R&D organization in India which is an autonomous body of the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research under the aegis of the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The Institute is engaged in Research & Development in the areas of Environmental Monitoring, Environmental Biotechnology, Hazardous Waste Management, Environmental System Design Modeling & Optimization, Environmental Impact & Risk Assessment, and Environmental Policy Analysis. The Institute is looking for talented young professionals with brilliant academic record and zeal for innovative research. (8) Post Code No. 209 – Botany (2 Posts) – UR-1, OBC-1
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany with Ph.D. in related discipline with 1 year post Ph. D. research/field experience in the area of ecological survey, plant biodiversity, eco-restoration.
Desirable: 1. First Class at Graduate and/or Post Graduate level. 2. Publications in SCI journals. Job Requirement: 1. Monitoring and analysis of environmental samples for biological parameters. 2. Ecological and biodiversity assessment. 3. Eco-restoration of natural system.
(9) Post Code No. 210 - Zoology (2 Posts) – UR-1, SC-1
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology with Ph.D. in related discipline with 1 year post Ph.D. research/field experience in the area of biodiversity studies, aquatic and terrestrial ecology, EIA and other related fields.
Desirable: 1. First Class at Graduate and/or Post Graduate level. 2. Publications in SCI journals. Job Requirement: 1. Monitoring and analysis of environmental samples for zoological parameters. 2. Ecological survey, aquatic, terrestrial and marine ecology. 3. Development of new methodologies for identification and evaluation of zoo-planktons, aquatic, terrestrial and marine eco-system.
(10) Post Code No. 211 – Environmental Science (1 Post) – SC
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Environmental Science with Ph.D. in related discipline with 1 year post Ph.D. research/field experience in the area of Bio-remediation, bio-degradation, environment monitoring and management, EIA.
Desirable: 1. First Class at Graduate and/or Post Graduate level. 2. Publications in SCI journals. Job Requirement: 1. Environment monitoring, EIA, water resource management, water quality management. 2. Bio-degradation/Bio-remediation of pollutants and contaminants. 3. Development of new methodologies for environmental restoration using modern tools and techniques.
(12) Post Code No. 213 – Bio-chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology (1 Post) –UR
Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. in Bio-chemistry/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Genetics/Molecular Biology/Environmental Toxicology/Pharmacy/Agriculture with Ph.D. in related discipline with 1 year post Ph.D. experience.
Desirable: 1. First Class at Graduate and/or Post Graduate level. 2. Publications in SCI journals. Job Requirement: 1. Analysis and development of environmental samples for microbial/toxicological/genetic parameters. 2. Microbial population dynamics, DNA Sequencing. 3. EIA/Waste water treatment. 4. Application of genomics in microbial and human population and handling of data such as sequencing, micro-array, proteomics, genomics and bioimaging & biosensor development. 5. Development of Microbial consortia for specific remedial targets. 6. Bio-statistics. 7. Development of new methodologies using modern molecular biological tools/methods for environmental applications. 8. Phyto remediation in Environmental applications. 9. Recovery and reuse of agriculture residues bio-prospecting etc.
