The Biomedical Informatics Centre of ICMR at NIRRH, Mumbai, is organizing a 3-day workshop (June 5th-7th, 2012) on “Basics of Bioinformatics and its application”.

Topics to be covered during the workshop:

• Overview of Bioinformatics
• Databases
• Sequence analysis
• Protein structures: Visualization and analysis

Who should apply?

• Faculty from colleges/university departments and research institutes. Preferences will be given to those teaching undergraduate/ post-graduate course in Biological Sciences

Interested applicants can fill the online form available at  www.bicnirrh.res.in/workshop.php . The last date for receipt of applications is 30 th April, 2012. The list of the selected candidates will be intimated by email on or before May 7, 2012. A maximum of 20 candidates will be selected.

The workshop is fully supported by Indian Council of Medical Research. There is no course fee. The selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements for travel and accommodation (no TA/DA will be provided).
