About the Workshop – AMPBT'12
The Workshop has been designed to impart training on Biological techniques in fundamental and applied research in Plant Biology and Plant Toxicology / Molecular Biology to the UG/PG students, Ph.D. scholars, Research fellows (JRF/SRF) in the Faculties of Life Sciences viz., Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Pharmacy.
Technical Sessions of the Workshop
1. Isolation, purification, and characterization of plant secondary metabolites by standardized techniques
2. Fundamental toxicological techniques to assess the bioactive compounds from Plants.
3. Experimental animal studies.
4. Good laboratory Practices (Some lengthy exercises will be only demonstrated)
Important Dates to remember
Last date to submit filled in registration form along with D.D. : April 20th 2012
No TA/DA will be provided to the Participants for attending the Workshop. Workshop Kits and Certificates will be provided only to the registered participants on production of the registration proof along with Identity cards. Tea/Snacks and working lunch will be provided to the participants during the programme.
Seminar/Workshop Kits will not be provided to spot registrations.
Registration Fees
PG students/scholars/Research Fellows : Rs. 750/-
Lecturers/Assistant Professors : Rs. 1000/-
The registration fee is to be remitted in the form of D.D. in favour of
“PRIST University”, Payable at Thanjavur.
