Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow [01 post] to work on the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi (DBT) sponsered project entitled “Development of chloroplast transformation system in sugarcane”.

Compensation (per month) Rs.16,000/- per month Plus HRA as per Institute’s rules
Starting Emolument: Approximate Rs. 211200/- per annum
Job Profile: Job profile includes working on construction of chloroplast vectors, development of tissue culture material for transformation, sugarcane transformation, development of transplastomics and their analysis by various molecular techniques.
Candidate Profile: Candidate should be capable of doing all tasks mentioned in Job Profile above. The successful candidate should be highly self-motivated, energetic, work efficiently, and have a keen interest in transgenic technology..
Qualification: M. Sc. in Botany /Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology from any reputed University. Preferred NET/SET cleared.
Experience: Preference will be given to those having experience of 1-2 years in relevant area / project work done in suitable area supported by thesis/ research publications.
Terms & Conditions:
- Compensation Rs.16,000/- per month plus HRA as per the DBT norms.
- The duration of appointment will be initially for one year but extendable up to two years depending on performance and availability of funds.
- The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- Only short listed candidates will be called for interview.
- Interview date will be communicated to the selected candidates.
- No TA/DA will be paid if called for interview.
