Subject: Ad-hoc appointment of the Research Fellow and staff under time bound research project sponsored by Indian council of Medical Research (ICMR)
Applications are invited (by registered post or personally at the address mentioned below) within 15 days from the date of advertisement for ad-hoc appointment (National daily news paper “The Statesman” Delhi edition dated 15-05-2012) of One Junior Research fellow (JRF) with the individual fellowship support, One Research Assistant and One Lab Attendant under time bound research project entitled “A study on Gene–Environment interaction and high risk phenotypes in the etiology of preterm birth in North Indian population” sponsored by ICMR (Govt. of India) for the period of three years depending on the progress of the work and approval of the funding agency. The detail of the positions are as follows.
Junior Research Fellow – expected requirements: One
Salary- As per the funding agencies norms.
Qualifications: JRF with the individual fellowship support of CSIR/UGC/ ICMR/DBT/DFSL or any other National Fellowship Program with M.Sc. degree or M.Tech (with CGPA≥6.5) in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Toxicology/ Biosciences/Biomedical or Environmental Sciences with good academic background. Aptitude for research in the area of Environmental Biology/ Toxicology/Genetics/ Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/Immunology etc. and its application in the area of health and diseases specially in the Reproductive Biology, Toxicogenomics and Disease marker will be preferred.
Age limit: 28 years; relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.
Research Assistant: expected requirement: One
Salary: (Rs.21,140/month consolidated).
Qualification: M.Sc degree (with minimum 60% marks) in subjects as mentioned above working experience in the area of Toxicogenomics, Molecular Biology, Toxicology and with practical knowledge for techniques such as Gas Chromatography, PCR, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy etc., with aptitude in the area of heath and diseases with reference with reference to pesticides and metal residues will be preferred.

Lab Attendant- One
Qualification: 10th Pass preferably with laboratory work experience
Salary: Rs 11,068/- consolidated as per ICMR norms.
Age limit: 28 years; relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.
No accommodation/medical benefits etc. will be applicable and no TA/DA would be paid for attending the interview.
