Consultant for Indo-Australia Biotechnology Projects
Applications are invited by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India for the post of a Consultant on Contractual basis for managing the Indo-Australia Biotechnology Projects , with a consolidated emolument of `30,000/- per month initially for a period of one year but likely to be extended by another year.
The engagement of Consultant in DBT shall be regulated as per the following guidelines:
General Conditions for engaging Consultant: -
(i) Consultant would be engaged for a fixed period of one year for providing high quality services to the DBT for carrying out specific and time bound jobs.
(ii) The appointment of Consultant would be on Full-time basis and they would not be permitted to take up any other assignment during the period of Consultancy with the DBT.
(iii) The appointment of Consultant is of a temporary (non – official) nature and the appointment can be cancelled at any time without assigning any reason.
Job Requirement
(i) Initial screening of the proposals received under the Indo-Australia Biotechnology Fund.
(ii) Internal assessment of the proposal.
(iii) Organizing Peer Reviewing of proposals and Expert Committee meetings.
(iv) Analyzing of ongoing projects to identify the leads achieved in these projects, which can move forward?
(v) Managing projects for their implementation, enabling networking of groups.
Essential Qualifications
Masters Degree in Life sciences/Biotechnology/Biomedical Technology/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Agriculture Biotechnology /Biochemistry / Veterinary Sciences / Cell Biology/ Genetics/ Microbiology/ Plant Biotechnology Or equivalent. Professional Courses like M. Tech. from a recognized University/Institute.
Desirable
At least 3 years experience in Project Management and Research Analysis.
