ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2012-2013
Applications are invited for admission to the PG Diploma in Planktonology (Full-Time - I Year) (UGC Innovative Programme) under CHOICE BASED CREDIT SYSTEM (CBCS) in the Centre for Marine Science and Technology for the academic year 2012-2013.
Qualification
M.Sc degree in any biological Sciences of 2 years duration with at least 50% marks.
ISSUE OF APPLICATION: Application and Prospectus can be had from the Registrar of the University through written requisition accompanied by a Demand Draft for Rs 500/- drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University” payable at Tirunelveli.
The SC/ST candidates should produce attested Xerox copy of the Community Certificate along with requisition letter to obtain application. Application may also be downloaded from the University websitewww.msuniv.ac.in and the filled in application should be sent with Demand Draft to the value mentioned above.
About the Course
It is a Full-time I year course, sponsored by UGC under Innovative programme. It is a job oriented course. This course has been designed to train the students to work in plankton based industries such as oil producing, Fish hatcheries & Farms, Aqua feed making and Algal carotinoid industries.
Note : The need of planktonologist are increasing day by day .But many Nitional and International plankton based companies require only the trained candidate with certificate from universities like authorized reliable institutions and hence the UGC has selected this course to augment the job opportunities for biological students who suffer a lot to get job in reputed concerns and foreign universities.
Course Fee: Tuition Fee Rs1000/- per annum
