Applications are invited for the following posts under the project: ‘Preventing Extinction and Improving Conservation Status of Threatened Plants through Application of Biotechnological Tools’ funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India (The project is initially approved for 5 years). Working place: Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory, BSI, ERC, Shillong.
Junior Research Fellow : 2 (two) posts.
Pay : Rs 16,000 + 10% HRA per month for 2 years and Rs 18,000 + 10% HRA per month from 3rd year onwards.
Qualification : M.Sc. degree in Botany/Life Sciences/Biotechnology from a recognized university. NET qualified candidates will be given preference. Hands on
experience in plant tissue culture techniques, ecological studies and knowledge in computer operation would be desirable.
