Applications are invited from suitable candidates for six positions of Junior Research Fellow in various programs at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
1) M.Sc. in Life Sciences or M.Tech in Biotechnology with minimum 60% aggregate at both Bachelor's and Master's Degree and
2) A valid UGC-CSIR/DBT/ICMR JRF or UGC-CSIR Lectureship certification is mandatory.
AGE: Below 28 years as on 31.08.2012.
EMOLUMENTS: Rs. 16,000/- + 20% HRA for those having UGC-CSIR/DBT/ICMR JRF certification and Rs 12,000/- + 20% HRA per month for those having UGC-CSIR lectureship certification.
Duration:JRF positions will be initially for two years but extendable by one more year. First appointment will be for six months and extended only after a performance evaluation.
Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and in the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed for selection procedure, a written test will be held. Candidates qualifying in the written test will then be assessed at a selection interview.

Envelopes must be superscripted with advertisement number and job title. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
