A Refresher Course on Plant Sciences for graduate and postgraduate college/university teachers, will be held from 19 November to 3 December 2012 at the Department of Botany, PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore.
This Course is aimed at giving the participants awareness on the latest developments in plant sciences. A variety of teaching methods like lectures, discussions and laboratory work will facilitate the learning process. The Course will help the participants to gain in depth knowledge in the subject.
The knowledge and experience thus gained will help them become better researchers and teachers.
The course will consist of a series of lectures everyday followed by practicals/demonstrations/hands on training.

Bagyaraj (University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore), H. S. Savithri (Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore), R. Raghavendra Rao (Bangalore), G. Chandrasekar (Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore), Victor Arokia Doss (PSG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore).
Teachers who wish to participate in the Refresher Course may send their application on plain paper with the following details: name, age, date of birth, gender, e-mail, official and residential address, telephone and mobile numbers, academic qualifications starting from B.Sc., teaching experience, courses taught, positions held and a statement indicating the reason for their interest in participation and their expectations from the Course. (Please do not send your entire bio-data). Thirty selected teachers will be provided local hospitality and round trip actual bus/train fare (3 tier AC) by the shortest route.
