Applications are invited for posts of Project Fellow/Project Assistant level – II and Research Associates to work in the CSIR-MoES-NMITLI sponsored research project “Biofuel from Marine Microalgae”
(A) Project Fellow / Project Assistant-II: 4 posts
Essential qualifications:
a) Project Fellow: M.Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology OR B.E. / B.Tech. in Biotechnology / Biochemical Engineering / Chemical Engineering with minimum 55% marks and CSIR JRF qualifications as per CSIR HRDG guidelines i.e. CSIR/UGC NET JRF for M.Sc. & valid GATE score for B.E./B.Tech. candidates.
b) Project Assistant Level II: M.Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology OR B.E. / B.Tech. in Biotechnology / Biochemical Engineering / Chemical Engineering with minimum 55% marks.
(B) Research Associate: 1 post
Essential qualifications: Ph.D. in Microbiology / Botany with research experience & 1 publication in SCI journal.
General Conditions:-
(A) Project Fellow / Project Assistant-II: 4 posts
Remuneration:
a) For Project Fellow, Rs. 16,000/- + HRA @ 20% of basic fellowship as per extant CSIR rules
b) For PA – II, Rs. 12,000/- consolidated for fresh M.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech. candidates.
Rs. 14,000/- consolidated for M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. candidates with 2 years' experience / NET-LS or GATE qualification as per extant CSIR rules.
(B) Research Associate: 1 post
Remuneration: Rs. 22,000/- consolidated as per extant CSIR rules.
Job Requirements:
· Screening, isolation and maintenance of microbial cultures.
· Scale-up of lipid extraction technologies from microalgae.
· Scale up of the mass cultivation unit for microalgae at CSIR-CSMCRI experimental salt farm.
The posts are purely temporary for duration of sponsored project/scheme only. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidates for claiming extension or absorption in CSMCRI/CSIR.
Age limit: Age limit for Project Fellow / Project Assistant level II and Research Associate should not be more than 28 / 35 years respectively as on the date of interview. However, the upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years as per CSIR rules for SC/ ST/ OBC/ Handicapped / Women candidates. The women applicants who are widowed, divorced & judicially separated from their husbands and are not re-married shall also be given age relaxation by 5 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in case of applicants belonging to OBC category
