Essential Qualification : For Scientist Position-B.Tech/M.Sc with PG degree in Intellectual Property Law (1st class or 60% or equivalent GPA). For Senior  Scientist Position-PhD (Sc.) with 2 years experience in handling various scientific projects.

Desirable : Additional experience in informatics.

Job Requirement : The incumbent is expected to be involved with the project related activities such as vision of the institute, project objective, project work plan and its start and end dates, project schedule, team members, cost of the project, deliverables etc. and handle financial resources, information services and various type of progress report writing and editing.

Age Limit : 37 years for Scientist and 42 years for Senior Scientist (inclusive of the relaxation meant for PH candidates).

Reservation Status : The post is reserved for Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy affected candidates belonging to any community.

Pay Band : Rs. 15,600-39,100/-

Grade Pay : Rs. 6,600/- or Rs. 7,600. The Selection Committee depending upon the performance of the candidate may choose to place the candidate in any of the Grade Pay within the Pay Band subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criterion specified.

Total Emoluments : The total monthly emoluments at this level inclusive of all allowances would be between Rs. 56,385/- to 64,725/-.

Application fee : Bank Draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Director, IICB payable at Kolkata.(The application fee is exempted for PH Candidate)
