Applications from Indian nationals are invited for one temporary Project Fellow to work on a plant biology project "Exploring the role of splice variant of CONSTANS, the key regulator of photoperiodic flowering time control in Arabidopsis" funded by DBT, to the School of Biological Sciences, NISER. The work involves combination of molecular genetics cloning, qRT PCR, biochemistry and microscopy to understand the fundamental importance of the splice variant of CONSTANS in controlling the photoperiodic flowering. NISER is building state of the art technology and offers competence to understand these issues. The work involves understanding the Diurnal and Circadian oscillation of transcripts in different light regimes in one hour resolution, therefore the selected candidates are expected to meet the demand of this research and are expected to be highly motivated, hard working.
