ADVERTISEMENT INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (SRF)
A. Applications are invited from the eligible candidates (Indian Nationals Only) for the temporary post in the research project titled ““Deciphering molecular mechanism of induction of biotic stress tolerance by Trichoderma spp. in castor (Ricinus communis L.)” sanction order F.No. NFBSFARA/BS-3007/2012-13 of ICAR, New Delhi as mentioned below:
Senior Research Fellow
Rs. 12,000 + HRA as admissible for the 1st Year for 2nd 3 Year and rd
Initially six months and extendable till the duration of the project subject to performance year as given in ICAR GOI
QUALIFICATIONS
1. M.Sc., Biochemistry, M.Sc., Molecular Biology, M.Sc., Biotechnology, M.Sc., (Ag) in Genetics and Plant Breeding, M.Sc.Microbiology or in any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks. NET/GATE qualification is desirable
AND
2. Should possess the following:
i. Research experience and publications if any shall be considered.
ii. Working knowledge of induced systemic resistance, experience in proteomic work using MALDI-TOF and HPLC, culturing and handling plant infecting fungal organisms, eg. Trichoderma spp.
iii. Planning research experiments independently
iv. Ability to meet the deadlines and work in cooperation with the research team.
v. Field work including growing plants and ability to follow PIs instructions in carrying out field experiments and data collection.
Applicants should note that the appointments to be made are purely temporary and there is no right for claiming for any regular appointment in the University. years will be as per ICAR, GOI regulations.
B. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or at the time of joining the temporary post.
C. The application should be submitted accompanied by attested copies of educational certificates and marks transcripts in support of all information furnished in the application along with recent self attested photographs.
D. Upper age limit for men candidates is 35 years and for female candidates is 40 years.
E. The initial offer will be for a period of six months at the first instance, extendable up to the end of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
F. Last date for the receipt of the applications is 29.10. 2012 before 5:00 pm and the date of interview shall be intimated to the shortlisted applicants only.If selected the candidate needs to provide a medical certificate at the time of joining the duties.
