Two Day National Conference on Emerging Trends in Ayurveda and Herbal Drug Technology - 22nd and 23rd November 2012
We are delighted to invite you to the two days national conference on “Emerging Trends in Ayurveda and Herbal Drug Technology” (ETAHDT-2012) on the occasion of Golden Jubilee celebration of TERESIAN College, Mysore and in association with Department of AYUSH, Government of Karnataka. Several national delegates are expected to attend the conference. In order to encourage innovative initiatives in this field, Lecture by eminent invited speakers, poster sessions by budding PG students, research scholars, students, lecturers and scientists followed by interactions organized.
Biotechnology is a highly promising interdisciplinary field so also Ayurveda which is regaining global popularity. Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Allopathy, Food and nutrition, Pharmacology, Toxicology and Bionanotechnology may get leads from Ayurveda. Ayurveda, the holistic practice of medicine, leads to facilitate natural product drug discovery. While taking leads, it is important to respect, protect and promote traditional knowledge. Scientifically validated and technologically standardized botanical products may be derived using traditional medicine-inspired reverse pharmacology approach. Research in Ayurveda has been dominated by studies on medicinal plants and development of herbal drugs, which has a large market globally. This conference aims to make a challenging platform to bring experienced experts to share, encourage, inspire the younger generation from the various fields.
