Applications are invited from the eligible candidates on a plain paper with educational qualifications and experience for one position (JRF/SRF/RA) from the eligible candidates in the research project entitled “Production of transgenic groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) carrying Arabidopsis Phytochrome A and Phytochrome B for the enhancement of yield” funded by the CSIR, Project sanction CSIR letter No.38 (1328)/12/EMR-II, dated: 03-04-2012 of CSIR, New Delhi.

Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellow/ Junior Research Fellow

For R.A.: Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Botany/Environmental Science. [At least one publication in standard refereed journal and Ph.D. work in the area of gene cloning and/or plant genetic transformation will be given preference]
For S.R.F: M.Sc in Biotechnology/Botany/Environmental Science with 55% of marks and 2 years research experience along with at least one publication in standard refereed journal. [Experience in gene cloning and/or plant genetic transformation will be given preference]
For J.R.F: M.Sc in Biotechnology/Botany/Environmental Science with 55% of marks and CSIR/UGC NET/GATE [Experience in gene cloning and/or plant genetic transformation will be given preference]

As per CSIR guidelines

The tenure of the project shall be for a period of three years or completion of project whichever earlier and also subject to the satisfactory performance. Interested candidates should submit their applications with the latest bio-data, attested copies of certificates and other supportive documents to Dr.T. Chandrasekhar, Assistant Professor & Principle Investigator, Department of Environmental Science, Yogi vemana University, Kadapa-516003 on or before 10th November, 2012. The eligible candidates will have to appear for an interview (date will be informed by mail and phone) with all the original merit and experience certificates and relevant research publications. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
