Monitoring Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) along the coasts of West Bengal
As part of the HAB project funded under MMME of MLRP by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt of India from 2012-2016, a JRF position is open in the Integrative Taxonomy and Microbial Ecology Research Group, Department of Biological Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research-Kolkata [IISERK] to study harmful algal bloom development and associated temporal dynamics of bloom forming algal communities using molecular methods along the coastal waters of West Bengal.
Qualifications
Candidates with M.Sc. in Botany/Marine Science/Microbiology/Zoology having some experience in phytoplankton taxonomy as well as in field activities would be highly desirable. CSIR-NET/UGC/GATE qualified candidates would be given preference. JRF Fellowship and HRA as per MoES guidelines.

Interview
Interview will be held in the first week of December, 2012 at IISERK Mohanpur Campus. Only short-listed candidates will be notified by email. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
