Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

CSIR sponsored Research project Detection, Molecular Characterization and Epidemiology of Viruses Infecting Large Cardamom (Amomom subulatum Roxb.) in Sikkim

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences with atleast 60% marks or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications: Strong desire to work on the development of fast and accurate detection techniques for the detection of Large Cardamom viruses, Survey, and molecular characterization of the viruses infecting large cardamom at molecular level.

Candidates having relevant experience in the area of travelling in hill area and molecular work experience will be preferred. CSIR/UGC/NET or GATE qualified candidate will be preferred.

Fellowship: As per CSIR norms.

The project is valid for a period of THREE years.

The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year but likely to be extended depending on the performance and project duration or till his service are required by the Project Investigator or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest.

No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates called for interview.
