Hands-on courses on biocuration, and use of bioinformatics resources for genomics, transcriptomics and proteomics
25 January–8 February 2013 (sub-modules of 2–4 days each)
Topics: Access and analysis of data from microarray, EST, miRNA, ChIP-chip, NGS (SNP, metagenomics and RNA-seq) and mass-spec experiments; biocuration and advanced literature search; gene ontology, protein interactions and pathway studies; drug discovery process (ligand screening and homology modelling).
Hands-on course on biostatistical analysis using R
9–13 February 2013
Topics: Hypothesis testing, data analysis (gene expression studies, including RNA-seq), clustering, PCA, Creating 2D and 3D plots using R statistical package.
