Qualifications & Experience
JRF : M. Sc in Microbiology / Botany / Biochemistry / Biotechnology or any branch of life science with valid NET / GATE / DBT JRF / or M. Tech. in Biotechnology with valid GATE score. 1st class degree in last two exams are essential.
SRF : Same as JRF but additional research experience of two years in relevant field is essential.
RA : M. Tech with minimum three years research experience or Ph D in the relevant field is essential.
Desirable : Research experience in molecular biology (PCR, cloning, etc) and bioinformatics (sequence analysis).
Upper age limit for
JRF : 28 years
SRF : 30 years
RA : 35 years
Upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC, women and physically handicapped candidates as per CSIR rule.
