Two positions (Technical Manager) are available in DBT-ICGEB Centre for Advanced Bioenergy Research at ICGEB, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi, India.
The positions are available initially for one year with annual extension up to three to five years based on satisfactory performance.
I Technical Manager
Eligibility and experience:
1. M.Sc. in any branch of Life sciences/Biotechnology/Analytical Chemistry (or) B.Tech/ M.Tech in Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in handling Mass spectrometer. (or)
2. Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biophysics/Analytical Chemistry with relevant experience in mass spectrometry
Desirables and responsibility:
Hands on experience that includes the operation of mass spectrometer, analysis of data and trouble-shooting capability
To handle a set of instruments including GC-MS, LC-MS and should have knowledge on the application of these instruments towards the effective running of various projects in the Centre.
To maintain and enhance the technical knowledge of mass spectrometry instruments and other instruments available in the Centre.
To verify the performance of instruments regularly
Previous experience of sample preparation, acquisition and data analysis software of mass spectrometry instruments is highly preferable.
