RECRUITMENT OF PROJECT FELLOWS

CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore a constituent national laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), invites applications from meritorious Indian nationals who have a passion for pursuing R&D related to Science & Technology for recruitment as Project Fellows (PF). About fifty (50) fellowship are offered under the 12th Five Year Plan Projects, which also facilitate the candidates registering for Ph.D. under objectives of the project. The eligibility criteria and other requirements are given below:

Essential Qualification: First Class M.Sc. in any of the following subject areas: Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Bioscience, Food Science, Food Technology, Organic Chemistry, Nutrition, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, Botany, Zoology or similar subjects or First Class B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Biotechnology or similar subjects with NET/GATE (with valid Scorecard) qualification.

Desirable Qualifications: Practical experience in relevant fields is an added advantage.

Emoluments: Consolidated Fellowship of Rs.16,000/- per month for a maximum period of 5 years or period of project, whichever is earlier, not extendable beyond this period.

Other Details:

1. Age limit : The upper age limit for applying for the award of PF shall be 28 years (as on 25th February, 2013), which is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to Schedule Castes, Schedule Tribe, Women, Persons with Disabilities(PWD) and OBCs.
2. Selection will be through initial screening based on overall academic records and experience and interview of short listed candidates.
3. If selected, the placement in a laboratory or the centre of CFTRI will be dependent on availability of seat(s) in the respective lab at sole discretion of Director, CSIR-CFTRI. The decision of the Director, CSIR-CFTRI will be final in all the respects.
4. Mere fulfillment of eligibility criteria will not entitle the applicant to be called for the text/interview.
5. Performance of the fellows will be reviewed every six months. In case the performance is not satisfactory, the fellowship could be terminated with one month's notice or one month's stipend in lieu thereof.
6. No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.

How to Apply:

1. Candidates are required to submit their application on line only and to take the printout of the filled in electronic application form and submit the hard copy duly signed and affixing the photograph with copies of certificates and testimonials.
2. On-line application for applying the position will be available from 13-02-2013 to 22-02-2013.
3. Application duly signed and completed in all respects with the following documents should reach the DIRECTOR, CSIR-CENTRAL FOOD TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE, MYSORE- 570 020 in a sealed cover, on or before 25-02-2013.
   1. Attested copy of matriculation or equivalent certificate with mark sheet.
   2. Attested copy of Mark lists of Degree and certificate issued by the concerned authority.
   3. Attested copy of caste certificate issued by competent authority in respect of SC/ST/OBC candidates.
   4. Attested copy of disability certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
   5. Attested copy of experience certificates, if any.
4. Applications received after the due date and applications that are incomplete are liable to be rejected.
5. Applications without any of the relevant documents mentioned above are liable to be rejected.
6. Canvassing in any form and / or bringing in any influence, political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for post applied for
