Applications are invited upto 15.03.2013 for the under mentioned posts. The Age, Essential qualification, Desirable qualification, Experience, Number of posts to be filled, Scale of pay, the reservation point are shown against each post.
1) TECHNICAL OFFICER ‘A’ - One Post (UR)
a) Pay Scale : PB 2 – Rs.9300-34800+GP 4600
b) Age : Below 35 years
c) Essential Qualification : 3 years Graduate degree in Life Sciences or Zoology as one of the subjects with 5 years experience or 3 years Graduate degree in relevant subject with Diploma in required subject from a recognised University/Institute with 3 years experience in a recognized Institute/Organisation.
d) Desirable : 1) Post Graduate in relevant subject
2) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Scientific data management.
e) Job requirements : To carryout and support both lab & field research in medical entomological sciences with special emphasis on biology of vectors and development of appropriate control technology for vector borne diseases. He is liable to perform duties assigned anywhere in India whenever instructed by this office.
Other Details:
a) The crucial date for determination of age will be the last date for receipt of applications as on 15.03.2013.
b) Age relaxation is allowed for SC/ST/OBC and Govt. Servants in accordance with the instructions and orders issued by the Dept. Of Personnel & Training from time to time in this regard. One time age relaxation shall be given for staff working in projects at ICMR Institute/Centre provided they meet the essential qualifications and experience prescribed for the post.
c) Benefits of New restructured defined Pension Scheme are admissible as per the Provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PF Division) Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECD & PR dated 22.12.2003 effective from 01.01.2004.
d) Applications in the prescribed format along with Bio-data and attested copies of Certificates, Testimonials, Caste Certificate (SC/ST/Non-Creamy OBC certificate for appointment in Govt. of India), experience certificate shall be forwarded to the
Director in-Charge, Centre for Research in Medical Entomology, (Indian Council of Medical Research), No.4, Sarojini Street, Chinna Chokkikulam, Madurai – 625 002 before the due date.
e) A Demand Draft for Rs.100/- in favour of Director in-Charge, CRME, (ICMR),
Madurai payable at Madurai should be enclosed with the applications.
(SC/ST/Physically handicapped candidates only are exempted from this payment).
f) Application from candidates working in Central/State Government or PSU should be forwarded through proper channel.
g) Separate application for each post with all necessary enclosures should be submitted quoting clearly the name and discipline of the post applied for.
h) Incomplete/late application or those without Demand Draft and without copies of Certificates will not be entertained and rejected.
i) Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidate or to bring political or other outside influence with the regard to selection/recruitment shall be deemed as disqualification.

• These posts are with All India transfer liability under the Council.
• Only short listed candidates will be called for interview since it is not possible to call all the eligible candidates. The decision of the Director in-Charge, CRME will be
