1. Biochemistry Department Applications are invited on plain paper from candidates with Ph.D. degree or those who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis in Biochemistry or related discipline giving detailed biodata for a Research Associate position in a DBT project "Quantitative coupling of hydrocarbon degradation and bacterial communities in petroleum hydrocarbon impacted sediments undergoing bioremediation" for a period of three years.

2. Biotechnology Department Applications in plain paper with biodata are invited for a Junior Research Fellow in the project entitled, Allelic loss of mitotic checkpoint genes and their expression level in oral and esophageal cancer samples of raw betel-nut chewers in Meghalaya sanctioned for 3 years by the Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. Required Qualification: for JRF- M.Sc. in Zoology or Biotechnology (60% or above) with Genetics/Cell Biology/Molecular Biology specialization. UGC-CSIR NET-qualified candidate will be preferred.

3. Biochemistry Department Applications are invited for a temporary post of Project Assistant to be appointed in a DST Fasttrack Project for Young Scientist, entitled An Investigation into the Role of Solution Variables in Amyloidogenesis sanctioned to Dr. Timir Tripathi, Molecular and Structural Biophysics Laboratory, Department of Biochemistry, NEHU, Shillong. *Essential Qualifications: *M.Sc. or equivalent in Biochemistry/Biotechnology or subject related to life sciences, with a good academic record. Prior experience in molecular biology/protein science will be advantageous.
