EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences invites applications for recruitment from the Indian Nationals for the following post. The name of post, scale of pay, Category of post, Educational Qualification both Essential and Desirable are given in details:
I). Name of Post – Assistant Professor
Revised Pay Band - Rs. 15,600-39,100/-Academic Grade Pay Rs. 6000/-

Essential Qualifications for the post of Assistant Professor:
(a) A minimum of Master’s degree in a subject/discipline (required for the particular post) of the concerned faculty having at least 55% marks throughout the career in aggregate or OGPA of 2.75 out of 4.00.
(b) Evidence of published research papers on the concerned subject in a reputed journal.

(d) For the candidates having Master’s degree, National Eligibility Test (NET) shall remain compulsory along with one publication in National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, (NAAS), New Delhi rated referred journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waved off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and the candidate has atleast two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4 on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption.
(Desirable Qualification for the post of Lecturer)
(a) Ph.D. degree in concerned subject.
(b) A crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees one thousand) (1/4th of Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST Categories) only drawn in favour of `Finance Officer, WBUAFS’ drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Kolkata should be attached with the application. Complete 7(seven) sets of application forms in the given format along with attested copies of testimonials (All sets) should reach to the Registrar (Actg.) West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences, 68, Kshudiram Bose Sarani, Kolkata – 700 037 within 5 P.M. on or before 08.03.2013 only by REGISTERED POST with ACKNOWLEDGEMENT DUE clearly mentioning the NAME OF THE POST APPLIED FOR in BOLD BLOCK LETTERS on the envelope. University reserves the right to alter/modify or cancel any condition/post at any stage without assigning any reason. Persons already employed should apply through proper channel, an advance copy of the same may be sent directly to the Registrar (Actg.). The applicants, who have not come under the purview of creamy layer as on the date of submission of application, shall submit an affidavit in original to this effect with the application. Certificate issued from the Government of West Bengal shall be considered only for reserved categories. University has absolute right to cancel the programme of recruitment without any prior notice and without assigning any reason thereof. Applications received after expiry of the last date will not be considered and no correspondence in this regard will be made. Canvassing in any form and or bringing any influence will be treated as disqualification. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Passport size photograph to be pasted on the space provided at the right upper corner of the application form. Candidates are requested to complete all columns of the application form. Incomplete application will be summarily rejected.
