Applications are invited for one temporary post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on contractual basis as per rules of funding agency and the University in a Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi sponsored project entitled "Nitric oxide as a signaling agent in plant pathogen interaction" sanctioned up to 2014. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Qualifications: The candidates should be M.Sc.(Ag .) Plant Physiology/M .Sc. in
Botany/Biotechnology/Plant Biotechnology/Microbiology and Life Sciences with 55% marks and NET/GATE, and age not exceeding 28 years.

A relaxation of upper age limit will be given to SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped/female candidates as per GOI and University rules . Candidate with experience of research in the area of the project or related field will be preferred . All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Interested candidates may apply on plain paper giving bio-data with photograph along with qualification , age proof, research experience, publications in relevant field , etc. supported by attested documents and attend the interview in the Department of Plant Physiology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi 221005 on 22.3.2013 at 12.00 noon . No TA/DA will be paid.
