Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the MoES-CMLRE ITIS project entitled “Inventorying and Barcoding of venomous and poisonous fishes of East coast of India” (Lr no. MoES/CMLRE/10-ITIS/1/2012/GIA (S)/03, dated 19/02/2013) giving details of academic qualifications, age and experience if any. Interviews for the proposed positions are likely to be held during the third week of April 2013. Candidates called for the interview will have to attend on their own and no TA/DA will be paid. The following are details of the position to be filled

1. Position :One Senior Research Fellow

Stipend :Rs.18000/- + 15% HRA pm

Duration : Two years (likely to be extended for one more year)

Academic Qualifications :Candidates with First Class in M.Sc. Marine Biology and Fisheries or Coastal Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology or Marine Biotechnology or Biotechnology.

Candidates with Ph.D or NET/GATE qualified candidates with two years of research experience in Molecular taxonomy and research publications in relevant field are preferred

2. Position : One Junior Research Fellow

Stipend : Rs.16000/-

Duration : Two years (likely to be extended for one more year)

Academic Qualifications : Candidates with First Class in M.Sc. Marine Biology and Fisheries or Coastal Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology or Marine Biotechnology or Biotechnology or Zoology.

NET/GATE qualified candidates/candidates with one year research experience in taxonomy are preferred

3. Position : One Junior Research Fellow

Stipend : Rs.16000/-

Duration : Two years (likely to be extended for one more year)

Academic Qualifications : Candidates with First Class in M.Sc. Marine Biology and Fisheries or Coastal Aquaculture and Marine Biotechnology or Marine Biotechnology/Biotechnology.NET/GATE qualified candidates/candidates with one year research experience in taxonomy/ DNA fingerprinting and Bioinformatics are preferred
