The Ministry of Environment and Forests proposes to fill up five (05) posts of Scientists ‘B’ in the National Museum of Natural History (NMNH), on Direct Recruitment as per details given below:-
A. National Museum of Natural History- Scientist ‘B’ in the Pay Scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- in Pay Band – 3
(i) Post No. 1/NMNH - Five [05] posts [SC-01,ST-01, UR-03]
Essential Educational Qualifications/ Experience Master’s Degree in Zoology/Botany either with at least a Diploma or a certificate of completion of course in Museology of a duration of not less than 10 months or two years’ experience of working in a State/ National Museum, preferably in Natural History Section.
Desirable Qualifications
(i) Experience of field work in natural history collections and their preservation & documentation,
(ii) Knowledge and experience in development of thematic exhibitions and programmes,
(iii) Knowledge of latest display design and multi-media presentation.
Duties and Job requirements:-
(i) To assist in Curatorial responsibilities with development and management of Natural History Collections, exhibitions and related educational and extension services,
(ii) To assist in planning, development and organization of Museum.
Place of Posting:- National Museum of Natural History, New Delhi, with liability to be posted anywhere in India.
