Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Research Associate in the DBT research project entitled ‘Mapping of mungbean yellow mosaic India virus (MYMIV) resistance loci in soybean’ and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in NIPGR “Short-Term Research Fellowships’ scheme under the guidance of Dr. Manoj Prasad, Scientist, NIPGR.
(A) Research Associate (one post): Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms.
Candidates having Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology or any other related field are eligible to apply.
The candidate should have a good academic record and research experience as evidenced from published papers in standard referred journals.
Candidate having research experience in the area of Advanced Molecular Biology, Genomics, Transcriptomics, In-silico Data Analysis etc, will be given preference.
(B) Senior Research Fellow (one post):
Emoluments as per DST/DBT norms.
Candidates having M.Sc. degree (with minimum 60%) in Bioinformatics with two year of post M.Sc. research experience are eligible to apply.
Experience on working with In-silico biology and genomics is highly desirable.
The candidate should have first class/division throughout academic career.
The positions are completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
