Applications are invited for the position of Project Fellow (PF) to work in a research project entitled ‘Larvicidal potential of silver nanoparticles synthesized using plant sources against mosquito Aedes aegypti and Culex quiquefasiatus’ funded by University Grants Commission (UGC) for a period of three years (2013–2016) in the Department of Zoology, University of Madras, Guindy Campus, Tamil Nadu, Chennai 600 025.
Qualifications: First class in M.Sc., Life Sciences/Spl Zoology, Zoology/Environmental biology/Biotechnology.
Desirable: Research experience in Biocontrol of mosquitoes and in Nanotechnology with CSIR –NET/UGC NET.
Fellowship: Rs 14,000 per month for initial 2 years and Rs 16,000 p.m. for 3rd year onwards.
