NOTIFICATION FOR JUNIOR RESEARH FELLOW POSITION
Applications are invited for two Junior Research Fellow positions in the SERB sponsored major research project entitled “Genetic diversity and origin of Indian domestic ducks ”.
Junior Research Fellow (2 Nos.)
Duration: Initially for one year and extendable up to 3 years based on the candidates performance
Fellowship: First & second year Rs. 13,200; third year Rs.15,400
Essential Qualification: First Class Master degree in any subject under Life Science (Genomic Science/ Genetics/ Biotechnology/Animal Science/ Zoology /Environmental Biotechnology/ Environmental Sciences/ Environmental Management/Wild life Science/Wild life Biology)
Description of the Work: The job requirements are to collect duck samples through out India (mainly North Eastern parts of India) and to undertake DNA extraction, PCR amplification and DNA sequencing for genotyping work. Therefore preference may be given to candidates from North East region.
