The Dayalbagh Educational Institute is a Deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 as per Notification No. F.9-3/78-U-3 dated 16.5.81 issued by the then Ministry of Education & Culture, Government of India.

NOTE:
1) Prescribed application forms and particulars of pay scales, qualifications, experience etc. can be obtained from the office of the REGISTRAR of the Institute on payment of Rs.50/- each (Rs.25/- for reserved posts) at the Institute counter or by post by sending a self addressed and stamped envelope of size 22x10 cms. with postal stamps of Rs.10/- for ordinary post or Rs.45/- for Registered post/Speed post. However, the qualifications for the internal candidates of this Institute may vary and these are notified internally.
2) Applications complete in all respects along with enclosures and registration fee of Rs.75/- each (Rs.37.50 for reserved posts) must reach the Registrar of the Institute latest by 15.07.2013 (Monday).Separate application shall be submitted for each post.
3) All payments must be made either in cash at the Institute counter or by bank draft in favour of DAYALBAGH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE payable at Agra.
4) For the post of Associate Professors, applicants are required (as per UGC Regulations, 2010) to send four copies each of their three major publications of which one could be a book or research report, for the assessment by the expert members and for the consideration of the Screening/Selection Committees together.
5) NET/SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in the Institute. Provided however, that candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in the Institute”.
6) (a) A relaxation of 5% of marks (from 55% to 50%) may be provided at the Graduation level for the SC/ST/Physically and visually handicapped persons, in appointment as Assistant Professors.
(b) A relaxation of 5% of marks (from 55% to 50%) may be provided to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September, 1991, and also to such candidates who have cleared the JRF Examination conducted by UGC/CSIR only prior to 1989 when the minimum marks required to appear for JRF examination were 50%.
7) Candidates are called for interview on the recommendations of the Screening Committee of the Institute and as such all applicants may not be called for interview. No TA and DA shall be admissible for attending the interview.
8) The Institute reserves the right to fill, to fill on temporary basis, or not to fill any of the posts, without giving any reason whatsoever. The Institute may also give appointment as Guest / Part-time teachers as per UGC Guidelines. The number of posts may vary depending on exigencies.
9) The Institute reserves the right to alter/modify any condition at any stage.
