Applications are invited for the post of Lab Technician under the project “Development Of A National HIV Drug Resistance Database By Generating And Utilizing Clinical, Genotypic And Phenotypic Characterization Data Of The Prevalent Drug Resistant Strains Of Indian HIV-1 Clade C (HIV DRDB)” as detailed below:

B. Sc (with Lab subjects) with one year Diploma in Medical Lab Technology or two years hands on experience using molecular biology techniques.
1. M. Sc in Biotechnology, Microbiology or Biochemistry.
2. One year experience in Molecular Biology techniques such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR etc.
3. Computer knowledge
He/She will be responsible for extraction of nucleic acid from samples such as plasma or Dried Blood Spots, setting up PCR and sequencing. He/She will also be responsible for compiling and analyzing the sequence data generated.
Consolidated salary of Rs. 18,360/- PM
Application should be submitted in the prescribed format (available on the Website) along with all required enclosures for proof of age (SSC Certificate), qualification (Degree certificate and all mark sheets), experience (proof for experience) and application fee of Rs.100/-, drawn in favour of the Director, NARI, Pune, by a Demand Draft (only from a Nationalized Bank) or Indian Postal Order. SC/ST and women are exempted from payment of application fees. Age relaxable for SC/ST/OBC-Non Creamy Layer/Physically Handicapped candidates and Govt. Servants as per Govt. of India Rules. The application should be duly superscribed as Application for the post of “Lab Technician” under NARI-DRDB Project. Government servants should apply through proper channel. Director, NARI reserves the right to shortlist the candidates to be interviewed. Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or bringing political or other influence with regards to the selection shall be considered as a disqualification. Age and experience is relaxable in deserving cases.
