This ranges from aerospace to ocean exploration, micro-electronics to structural and environmental engineering, smart materials to mechatronics, petrochemicals to synthetic biology and from robotics and micro machines to drugs & pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.
CSIR has endeavoured over the years to be at the forefront of R&D in diverse areas. In doing so, it has made concerted efforts to put in place innovative strategies and mechanisms for management of R&D.
The Headquarters of CSIR, located in New Delhi, comprises diverse S&T, administrative and finance divisions which help in functioning of its 37 Laboratories, 38 outreach centres, 3 innovation complexes and 6 units.
CSIR is looking for bright, young Indian scientists with proven record of scientific achievements and ability to take up large responsibility of managing R&D in an innovative way.

Essential Qualification and Experience
Ph.D. in Biotechnology with 02 years experience
At least five years experience in handling of invention disclosures, Prior art search involving sequence searches and drafting of the Patent proposals for domestic and international filing, prosecution of Patent applications with respect to techno-legal office actions issued by the Patent Offices in the field of Molecular Biology; skills at using commercially and publicly available patent as well as non-patent databases and softwares, handling sequence data and searching DNA and protein databases, excellent oral and written communication skills, handling of technical correspondence with appropriate vocabulary and strong analytical abilities, capable of handling all IP related matters in regard to securing, safeguarding and analysis of IP portfolio.
Examination of Invention disclosures, prior art searching, drafting, filing, prosecution of patent applications and handling of all tasks related to IP protection and related matters including Patent Portfolio analysis in the respective field and in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary areas.

Essential Qualification and Experience
Ph.D. in Life Sciences (submitted) Ph.D. in Life Sciences with 02 years experience
Desirable qualification and experience
Experience in managing S&T databases; excellent writing and communication skills; and understanding of scientific documentation.
Job requirement Handle information in the Extramural Research Schemes and prepare reports required in decision making by research Committees by using computer packages/software/ programmes.
