RECRUITMENT OF LAB ASSISTANTS NATIONAL FUNGAL CULTURE COLLECTION OF INDIA (NFCCI)
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the posts of Lab Assistant `C' (No.2) for National Fungal Culture Collection of India in the Pay Band-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2800 and admissible allowances.
Qualifications:
Essential:1st Class B.Sc. in Botany/ Mycology/ Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences. Desirable: M. Sc. in Botany/Mycology/ Microbiology/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences with 3-4 year experience (after B.Sc.).
Job Requirements: Providing technical help in collection of mycological samples from field, purification, presentation and long term maintenance of pure cultures of fungi following standard techniques, microscopic slide preparation, media preparation, sterilization and knowledge of computer application, typing, data entry, and handling of basic laboratory equipments etc. [Post Code:LAC-NFCCI]
Reservation: Out of 2 posts, 1 is reserved for OBC non-creamy layer. Age Limit: 28 years relaxable by 3/5 years for OBC/SC & ST respectively as per rule.
GENERAL: Application Fees Rs.50/-, payable by DD only in favor of Director, ARI, Pune. No application fee for SC/ST candidates applying with copy of the caste certificate issued by competent authority. Apply in the prescribed format available on institute's website http: www.aripune.org, to the Director ARI, Pune along with attested copies of certificates of qualifications & D.D., stating the Code No. on envelope before the last date. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification. The prescribed essential qualifications are bare minimum and mere possession of same will not entitle the candidate to be called for interview.
In case of number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large, it may not be convenient or possible for the Institute to interview all the candidates. The Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview to a reasonable limit, on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Interim enquiries will not be attended to.
