Applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment of 1 [ONE] position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a temporary contractual basis in the research project entitled "Comparative evaluation of enzymatic and fermentative methods for preparation of chicken liver hydrolysates: recovery, biofunctional characterization and application" (GAP-0415) funded by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) through the Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India, New Delhi tenable at the Department of Meat and Marine Sciences, CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore, Karnataka.

Essential Qualification: First Class postgraduate degree in science with specialization in Fisheries Science / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Molecular Biology / Microbiology with good academic records and should have been qualified for lecturership in National Eligibility Test conducted by CSIR-UGC or ICAR-NET for lectureship or qualified in GATE exam.

Emoluments:A Fellowship of Rs.12,000/- per month.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 28-08-2013 i.e. the last date of receipt of applications for the post.
  2. The engagement of JRF is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
  3. The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the project funded by MFPI through SERB, Govt.of India for a maximum period of 16 months and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
  4. The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
  5. No TA/DA will be given to the candidates for attending the interview.
