ADVERTISEMENT INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR A JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP (JRF)
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates (Indian Nationals Only) for the temporary post in the research project titled “Identification and Characterization of Pathogen Associated Molecular Patterns (PAMPs) and candidate effector genes in Powdery mildew fungus (Erysiphe pisi) through transcriptome profiling” (BT/PR1264/PBD/16/848/2009) sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), New Delhi as mentioned below:
JRF 1
Rs. 12,000 + HRA as admissible for the 1st and Rs. 14,000 + HRA for 2 Year nd and 3rd
Initially one year and extendable till the duration of the project Years
QUALIFICATIONS
1. M.Sc., Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/M.Sc., (Ag) in Genetics and Plant Breeding or M.Sc., in any branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
2. NET/GATE qualification is essential AND
3. Should have extensive experience in
i. Independently planning research experiments; maintaining and handling bacterial, fungal and other cultures
ii. Making laboratory media and culture plates
iii. Field work including growing plants and ability to follow PIs instructions in carrying out field experiments and data collection.
1. Applicants should note that the appointments to be made are purely temporary and there is no right for claiming for any regular appointment in the University.
2. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or at the time of joining the temporary post.
3. The hard copy of the application duly signed should be submitted along with attested copies of educational certificates, marks transcripts, NET/GATE certificate, any other document as proof in support of your claim in the application and recent self attested photograph.
4. The initial offer will be for a period of six months at the first instance, extendable up to the end of the project subject to satisfactory performance.
