International Symposium on “Legacy of Nitric Oxide Discovery: Impact on Disease Biology” (LNOD IDB)

Nov 5 – 6, 2013

Jointly Organized by

Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB),

Department of Biotechnology (DBT)

and

Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute for Basic Sciences (SRIBS),

Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE)

Venue: Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala

Discovery of the Miracle Molecule "Nitric Oxide" in the mid 1980's was a scientific breakthrough launching an entirely new principle in biological systems: a signaling molecule that, as a gas, penetrates through membranes and regulates the function of another cell. The International Symposium on “Legacy of Nitric Oxide Discovery: Impact on Disease Biology” aims at bringing out important network interactions of Nitric Oxide in disease biology.

Focus Areas: The prominent areas of discussion in this international symposium include:

Nitric Oxide in

  • Cardiovascular Disease Biology
  • Cancer
  • Plant Physiology and Phytopathology
  • Neurobiology
  • Infection & Immunity
  • Dietary Nitrates and Nitrites
  • Reproductive Biology

Abstract submission: Participants are invited to submit their abstracts for poster presentations under the specified focus themes. Abstracts submitted will be reviewed on the basis of scientific merit, novelty and practical applications. Abstract submission can be made along with the registration form.

Deadlines:

OCT 15, 2013 BOOKING OF ACCOMMODATION

OCT 15, 2013 REGISTRATION
